Why Practice?

Today marks the opening of a new yoga studio in Denver called Practice. I know you are probably thinking, just what the world needs right now another yoga studio. Right? Well, you would be wrong.

That’s because this studio is different. The owner, Chris Muchow, is one of the best local yoga teachers in Denver you may have never heard of. He is my teacher, along with Amy Ippoliti and several others, and the man who I credit in my book with helping me grow as a student, a teacher and a person. He is known as a teachers’ teacher.

Practice is his vision of a studio where one can fall in love with yoga, again. He has handpicked his teachers based on their understanding of alignment and teaching. Whether the class is a flow Vinyasa style or a set sequence, each teacher is skilled with years of training and study. They know how to get you where you want to go.

“Practice, and all is coming,” was a saying of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. I like to say that I practice, because I can. I return to the mat over and over again, to fall in love with the possibility of more…. More love, more life and more to give.

Please join us, and perhaps we’ll fall in love again, with yoga.
