There Are No Guarantees for the New Year

A Yoga Theme for Teachers

Your Why:       Why do you teach yoga?

Theme:            Promises not kept. A Universe theme.

HOVs:              Trust, Faith, Effort and Surrender, Onward Anyway

Anecdote:

One of my favorite quotes is this: There are no guarantees. From the viewpoint of fear, none are strong enough. From the viewpoint of love, none are needed. How many of us thought that 2021 would be the answer to our prayers? Instead, we have more questions. All there is, is the willingness to move forward, one step, one day, one practice at a time.

Contemplations:

The past few years have pulled the curtain back to show that we really don’t know that much.  We move forward with clarity, skill and Grace.

Golden Nuggets:

•               Be here now.

•               This moment is what we have.

•               Have faith.

•               Faith is always the first step.

•               Failure moves us forward.

•               Onward dog!

•               Courage keeps us coming back.

•               We are here for the long game.

•               Practice and all is coming.

•               The Universe conspires for us.

•               Trust is hard to grow, but mistrust blossoms.

VP:       If we can live with what we don’t know, then we move onward with clarity and grace.
